Call for Papers

The deadline for submitting proposals is January 15, 2024.

A maximum of 2 proposals per author may be submitted as abstracts, in relation with any of the 9 major themes of Applied Linguistics: Language acquisition; Language teaching; Language for academic and professional purposes; Psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics and clinical linguistics; Sociolinguistics; Pragmatics and discourse analysis; Computational, corpus linguistics and natural language processing; Lexicology and lexicography; and Translation and interpretation. Checklist for the preparation of proposals:

  • Files must be in OpenOffice or Microsoft Word format.
  • The abstract must include the title of the communication, as well as the objectives, methodology, results and conclusions of the study.
  • Four keywords will be included.
  • The text must be written in single spacing and 12 point Times New Roman font.
  • The abstract should not exceed 250 words (excluding references, in APA style).
  • Two documents will be submitted: a) a document with the name and affiliation of the author(s), and b) another document without any personal data, which will be used for blind evaluation purposes.
  • Authors should indicate whether they are submitting a proposal to be evaluated as an oral presentation, poster or round table.
  • In the case of posters, the characteristics are as follows: portrait orientation and A3 size (29.7 x 42 cm).

Publication

From 20 April until 20 June 2024, articles can be submitted for publication in e-AESLA and in two monographic volumes published by reputed editorials.

Proposals should be sent to lcarrio@upv.es. After the review process, authors will be informed about the style of the editorial so that they can adapt the paper. Aspects to be considered: Minimum number of words: 6,000, maximum 10,000, although exceptions may be considered. Font: Arial 12. References and in-text citation: APA 7.
